What is the difference between assisted living and independent living? A: The Village at Gordon House premier senior living will offer residents an active fulfilling life without worrying about household maintenance in a community setting. Residents have a choice of elegant one and two-bedroom homes including cottages and duplexes offering different floor plans and options. Residents in the independent living units do not receive personal assisted living care. The one-time entrance fee and monthly service fee will include: one meal per day, emergency response system, maintenance and repairs, landscaping, transportation for planned events and activities, social and recreational events, use of common areas, paid property taxes, priority access to The Village at Gordon House continuum of assisted living care.

A: Short-term stays that provide respite care services to seniors needing some assistance after surgery, during an illness, inclement weather, or when caregivers are out of town are available on a room availability basis. It is a great way to introduce you or loved one to what we have to offer on our campus.
How do you determine which placement is appropriate? A: The Director of Resident Care will gather the necessary information to make an informed suggestion for placement based on the resident’s needs.
How does the admissions process work for assisted living? What do I do if I am interested? A: Once you have chosen to apply for admission, we ask you to complete the necessary paperwork. The process may take anywhere from one day to a week, depending on the availability of caregivers, family members and personal physicians providing information to our Administrator and Director of Resident Care.
May I continue to use my current physician? A: A resident staying at The Village at Gordon House is welcome to continue with their current primary physician. However, there is an independent physician available on-site that has laboratory services in his office.
